Federal government sends crack team to fish out those behind the recent bombings, and directs the military to halt the return of militancy in the region. Recall that the new militant group (Avengers) claimed responsibility for the recent attack of the Chevron oil platform, and the pipelines transporting crude oil to Warri and Kaduna refineries.
The Chief Security Officer to the Amnesty Office, Lt. Col. Olusegun Okungbure, indicated that his office was already collaborating with other security agencies, to share information and intelligence, on how to curtail oil pipelines sabotage. The Special Adviser has called on the people of the area and the ex militants under government amnesty to assist in fishing out those behind the recent attacks.
