Book Title: 18,366 Kilometres By Road. “An Adventure Trip from London to Lagos and Back to London, By Land”

Description: London to Lagos and back to London, a distance of 18,366 kilometres all covered by land. An adventure trip that took the author through ten countries that is, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, and Ghana. Before embarking on this adventure, I was warned that I would love it, but loving it, was an understatement, as there is no adjective to quantify the experiences.

Defiant IPOB Members Protest at Aba on 20/9/17.

IPOB As “Terrorist Organisation”, The Wider Implications.

1. Our battered image abroad has been made worst by proscribing IPOB as a terrorist organisation. Effectively there are two terrorist groups in Nigeria. The burden will rest on Nigerians and not on IPOB members alone.

2. Those travelling with Nigerian passport should expect further delays, harassments, interrogations, detentions, and possible deportations by foreign immigration officers. They do not know who is a member of IPOB or not, more so, since everyone uses the Nigerian passport including IPOB members. A friend of mine who is from Akwa Ibom State, but lived and worked in Lagos was delayed and questioned in America over Boko Haram activities at the North East Nigeria. My friend had nothing to do with Boko Haram. These foreign countries are looking for excuses to deal with Nigerians, and President Buhari just gave them one.

3. Expect delays or denials from visa applications.

4. Certain sensitive international jobs might no longer be open to Nigerians due to this factor.

5. Those looking to do business overseas or to bring in foreign partners might be in for a shock. Nigeria will further be listed as a high risk country, despite the previous warning about Nigeria. All western travel advice websites would be updated.

6. Nnamdi Kanu who is the primary target, has dual citizenship so might not be affected. Radio Biafra is in London so will not be affected. IPOB is registered in UK and has membership in over 90 countries of the world, so those outside the country will not be affected too.

Nnamdi Kanu Might Have Been Killed: Lawyer Alleges.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer representing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that his client was abducted by military operatives on September 14 and probably killed.

Ejiofor made the allegation in a statement on Tuesday issued in reaction to insinuations that Kanu has gone into hiding.

The statement reads in part: “I have no doubt whatsoever that stories making round that my Client has fled outside Nigeria, were planted to divert attention from their murderous raid on my client’s house.

“I made last contact with my client few minutes into the bloody onslaught in his home on the 14th day of September 2017. Till date, I have not established further communication with him.

“The soldiers must have made possible contact with him on this 14th day of September 2017, when they invaded his house on a bloody raid, and by virtue of which position, they should tell the world if he was caught by fire of bullets in the hit of the bloody onslaught or he was arrested alive.

“In all probability, my client may have been killed by the invading soldiers who are now seeking ways to fool the world into believing that he has left the country. My request is that the military should produce my client wherever they kept him and stop diverting attention of the public,” Ejiofor said. Daily Post.

Operation Python Dance Started With Shooting of Unar

Operation Python Dance Started With Shooting  of Unarmed IPOB Members.

Before I proceed to the shooting of unarmed IPOB members on 10/9/17, first let me point out an omission by commission, by the Nigerian army as their reasons for Operation Python Dance 2. "As you are all aware, the Nigerian Army is constantly carrying out training activities for its personnel in line with its constitutional role in aid of civil authority. More so, Exercise EGWU EKE II has become more expedient due to the mindless assassinations (even in religious places), attack on security personnel, theft of weapons, armed banditry, kidnapping, cultism and violent agitations, as well as other security challenges that have recently become prevalent in the South Eastern part of the country". The following questions need to be addressed by the Nigerian army. Why will the Nigerian army not specifically mention the attacks by Fulani herdsmen as part of their reasons? What do they mean by other security challenges? As a fighting force, their mandate must be clear and explicitly stated. There is no room for vague statement? Does the South East Governors/Ohanaeze/stakeholders aware or approve of this military operation?

The reasons given by the Nigerian army for their "Operation Python Dance 2" are also prevalent at other regions of the country. Therefore, to achieve a balance and to protect the lives of all Nigerians, similar army operations should be launched at other parts of the country simultaneously or sequentially, especially with the attacks by Fulani herdsmen. We also need evidence to suggest that the police force (including the mobile police personnel) are incapable to handle the situation at the South East etc.

The security situation at the South East has not broken down beyond the police. Moreover, mobile police can be deployed. That's their constitutional role. Army is meant to fight against external aggressions. This operation will end up extorting money from already impoverished South East indigenes. I consider this as an army of occupation, short and simple.

Shooting unarmed IPOB members.

I watched the video of army shooting of unarmed IPOB members. I have also read their press release after the shooting. Their press release contradicts the video clip which showed that some IPOB members were shot and wounded by the Nigerian army. Thank goodness for smart phones and social media. Information cannot be micro managed by the authorities anymore. There is no doubt that the Nigerian army has started this "Operation python Dance 2" with these shootings.

IPOB members have right to freedom of association. The Nigeria army of occupation has violated their rights by force. They also have right to self determination. Those responsible for these shootings must be punished by Nigerian authorities. Justice must not only be done to them, but must be seen to have been done.

My Respect For Innocent Peaceful Pro Biafran Agitators, Killed and brutalised By Nigerian Army.

My Respect For Innocent Peaceful Pro Biafran Agitators, Killed and Brutalised By Nigerian Army.

1. On 14/9/17, I counted 4 dead bodies of peaceful and unarmed pro Biafran agitators shot by the Nigerian army, at the residence of Nnamdi Kalu. Heard many dead bodies were carried away by the army. Watch the video clip. https://youtu.be/___-t8QCA3g

2. On 13/9/17, a video emerged where the Nigerian army brutalised unarmed peaceful pro Biafran agitators. Watch the video on the following weblink https://youtu.be/F6-mEMjqpC8

3. Since when Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in 2015 till date, the Nigerian security services have killed more than 200 peaceful pro Biafran agitators.

4. Nnamdi Kanu was accused of hate speeches. He was arrested and detained by federal government for nearly 2 years. He was tried and granted bail with worst bail conditions. Till date, no court has revoked his bail, neither has any court issued any arrest warrant for him, so why was the army sent to his house?

5. Talking of Nnamdi Kanu's hate speeches, no one wants to  talk about institutionalised hatred against the Igbos by successive Nigerian governments since 1970 till date. These gave rise to the emergence of the likes of Nnamdi Kanu and many more. “Where you have injustice, you will have rebellion”. Ribadu. Let me highlight some of the government instrument of hatred against Igbos.

6. Till date, South East candidates are required to score highest above every other tribe, in order to gain admission to any federal government school.

7. Till date the South East has the least number of states (5 states) and local government areas. Federal government revenue allocations, appointments, employments, opportunities are based on your number of states. Igbos are among the 3 largest ethnic groups in Nigeria. Igbos make up the second largest ethnic group, at each state of the federation where they live and pay their taxes to the government.

8. In 1984, Major Gen Buhari as military Head of State jailed former Vice President Ekwueme without trial while keeping Ex President Shagari under house arrest. Ekwueme was later tried, discharged and acquited.

9. On September 28th 1979, two (2) days to his hand over to President Shehu Shagari, General Obasanjo signed the Abandoned Properties Decree No 90 of 1979 into Law. By this decree, Igbos lost all the houses/properties they abandoned during the war in Port Harcourt. Igbos ran home from Port Harcourt, during the war. In the process, they left their properties. They never got back these properties, courtesy of federal government decree.

10. In the 1980’s, some villages were carved out of Ndoki, from then Imo State and joined with Akwa Ibom State. In 1976, the area of Ndoki South, present day Oyigbo  area in Rivers State was transferred from old Aba Division and  given to Rivers State. This is an oil producing community, originally belonging to old Imo State.

11. The £20 policy: Every Igbo man or woman was given £20 after the civil ended in 1970, despite the amount of money, such a person had in the bank before/during the war.

12. Unfortunately you can't beat a child and tell him/her not to cry. You can't defeat an ideology by force. In sympathy and respect to innocent, peaceful pro Biafran agitators, my social media profile pictures would be changed to Biafran flag.

Ohanaeze Spits Fire at the Plan to Rearrest Nnamdi Kalu

PLEASE RESPECT YOUR OATH OF OFFICE!!

It has just been brought to my notice that the Attorney-General of the Federation has approached the courts to incarcerate Nnamdi Kalu for flouting his bail conditions.

I am amazed that the distinguished attorney is prepared to contest the superiority of the provisions of the constitution on fundamental human rights of freedom of movement and freedom of association over an erroneous judicial proclamation violating those rights.  I am equally miffed by the audacity with which the Attorney-General displays his bias without regard to his oath of office.

A few hours ago under the watchful eyes of the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum and in total defiance of the Head of State’s proclamation of the rights of a citizen of Nigeria to live anywhere in Nigeria and to do business anywhere in Nigeria, the Arewa Youths, pretending to withdraw their quit notice gave qualifications to the Head of State’s proclamation, issuing conditions for enjoyment of citizenship status.

These same Arewa Youths are supposed to have been arrested on the orders of the Governor of Kaduna State and the Inspector General of Police for acts of treason, conversion and sedition.  As the Chief law officer of the Federation the Attorney-General looks the other way.  He does not go to court to seek an order of arrest or prosecution.

Nnamdi, as a citizen of Nigeria, is free to hold any point of view no matter how displeasing to anyone so long as they are not inciting or provoking any criminal activities.

I and some Igbo leaders have differences of opinion with Nnamdi on a number of issues.  We have been insulted and abused by Radio Biafra but we concede them their right to differ from us.  We concede them their nature to be exuberant as Youths but we cannot be judgmental about their rights.

This is a democracy.  In democracies leaders are abused, pelted with rotten eggs and booed at, as the former Edo State Governor was booed in Abuja a few days ago.  These acts are not necessarily criminal.

I urge the Attorney-General not to exacerbate our already tense nation by commencing a legal action which portrays him as biased, insensitive and misdirected.

Referendum(s) In Nigeria: My Predictions.

Referendum(s) In Nigeria: My Predictions.

South East: If you conduct a referendum at the South East as at today (23/6/17), over 50% would vote yes to leave Nigeria. The spirit of Biafra runs in the body, blood, and DNA of over 80% Igbos.

South South: A referendum at the South South part of Nigeria as at today would result in a yes vote winning. That is, over 50% would vote to secede and have their republic. However, there would be the emergence of several republics as every small tribe within the region would want to be an independent country. It’s important to note that there are small countries/Islands with less than 20,000 people.

South West: Presented with above scenarios, the South West would vote overwhelming yes to have their Oduduwa Republic.

North Central: If the above 3 regions votes yes to leave Nigeria, then North Central would also vote overwhelming yes to leave. Again there would also be the emergence of so many small republics, as many small tribes would prefer to be independent.

North West: Similar scenario would play out at this region the Christians, the Moslems, other smaller tribes would probably wish to stay on their own or to join others.

North East: This region would have no choice but to have its republic.

 Moving on:

Agitations for referendum or self determination are not going away soon, so long as Nigeria remains at this present structure. There are injustices in the system. These would continue to provide the catalysts for the agitation of self determination/secession. These agitations might enter a different stage, that might be difficult to control or stop.

 Likely Scenerio:

With the near 100% success of the Pro Biafran sit at home protest on 30th May 2017, at the entire South East, and if they decide to form a political party or adopt a political or join one by proxy and win something like a state governorship election, then the game would change a lot. Imagine where a pro Bifran group is controlling a state with huge resources.

P-commerce and E-commerce: The Igbo Involvements.

The P-commerce and E-commerce: The Igbo Involvements.

P-commerce stands for physical commercial businesses. E-commerce means electronic/online commercial transactions.

What is not in doubt is that the Igbos dominate the p-commerce businesses in Nigeria. However, what is in doubt, is that Igbos are not taking over the e-commerce businesses in Nigeria. The future is e-commerce. E-commerce, depends solely on p-commerce (goods would need to be transported from the seller to the buyer).

This is an area of concern and a sector where Igbo business wo/men, investors should pay more attention to. It's estimated that Nigerian e-commerce market is worth about $12 billion dollars.

This is the next big thing.

Kaduna Declaration: Matters Arising.

Kaduna Declaration: Matters Arising.

On the strength of the quit notice given to Igbos living at the Northern Nigeria, to leave, by the Arewa Youths Leaders Forum, the followings Must be done immediately.

1. The Nigerian Army should immediately launch another "Operation Python Dance" at all the Northern States in Nigeria, failure to do so would mean complicity on their part. Recall, that the Nigerian Army declared Operation Python Dance at the South East due to the activities of pro Biafran groups. More so, security services were fully deployed on 30th May 2017 during the sit at home protest called by Biafran groups. To achieve a balance, the security services should do same to protect Igbos at the Northern Nigeria.

2. All those that issued the quit notice to Igbos to leave, must all be arrested and prosecuted, like the federal government did to Nnamdi Kanu, Ralph Uwazuruike, Asari, etc. Justice must not only be done, but must be seen to have been done.

3. The federal government must initiate processes to restructure Nigeria. Perhaps conduct a referendum among the component parts of the country.

4. All Igbos living at the Northern Nigeria should consider to relocate back from the North. They should all be conscious of movements around them. Be at the highest level of alert. They must plan response, rescue and repatriation in the event of any unforseen attacks. Past experiences should be a good reference point.

5. All Igbo unions/Igbos at the North should henceforth move in groups and know where each other is at any point in time. Network all members.

Biafran Heroes and Heroines Remembrance Day.

On 30th May 1967, (50 years ago), Biafra was declared in response to the pogrom, killings and genocide against Igbos in Northern and Western Nigeria. Biafran Republic was declared to provide Igbos, with security and safety of their lives and properties. Nigerian government then, in collaboration with imperialistic British government and other foreign powers, declared war on Igbos. At the end of which, over 2 million of us (Igbos) paid the supreme sacrifice.

On, 30th May 2017, Igbo people all over the world, will be remembering their fallen heroes and heroines. Their sacrifices shall not be in vain. May their souls and other faithfully departed rest in peace. As a mark or respect, my social media profile pictures shall be changed to the symbol of Biafran struggle. I urge all those that wishes to pay their respect to these fallen heroes and heroines to do same. I dedicate Judges 6 vs 12 to them that paid the supreme sacrifice, it says, "And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour".

Sadly but true, the Nigerian government since the end of the civil war in 1970 till date, has pursued a systemic and state sponsored marginalisation of the Igbos, for example South East zone has the least number of states (five states only) in the federation. Other zones have six and seven states. Federal allocations, appointments and employments are based on the number of states you have. Till date, indigenes of South East are required to obtain highest scores/marks in order to gain admission to any federal government owned schools and universities. Whereas indigenes of North East, North West, North Central etc are not required to do same. They only need low scores/marks before gaining admission. Thus same country different rules. Recall that they same Igbos being punished didn't go to school during the war.

Notwithstanding the federal government policies against Igbos, they are the only tribe in Nigeria truly practicing one Nigeria, despite losing the war. Igbos embraced one Nigeria more than all the tribes in Nigeria. Igbos are the second largest tribe in each state of the federation. They have invested more than any tribe in all parts of Nigeria.

Mr President: Please Save Us Further Embarrassments.

Mr President, yours truly is sorry, saddened and very sympathetic to your ill health. No person is immune from sickness or ill health. I pray and wish you quick recovery. The writer is one of your strongest supporters, at the same time, will also be one of your strongest critics. By virtue of your position as the President, your health status is a national concern. My worries are your frequent medical trips to London and when can Nigeria put to an end to medical tourism amongst by our leaders.

Let’s assume, there are no hospitals well equipped to treat you in Nigeria. The question is what plans have you /r government, to at least equip one hospital in Nigeria to international standard, in order to stop other Nigerian leaders from these overseas treatments (show of shame). Have you also considered the fate of poor Nigerians and tax payers whose money you’re using to treat yourself and other leaders. Don’t you think they deserve a good hospital to attend in Nigeria?

The wise thing to do would have been to at least equip one hospital. The nation would want to see a stop to frequent overseas medical trips by you and others, thus saving us from further embarrassments. These trips are too expensive that, the cumulative money spent so far by you and others before you, would have been more than enough to fix two or more hospitals in Nigeria.
