Nigerian Youths as the Wretched of the Earth.

Mathematically 1+1 = 2; this is absolutely not so in Nigeria, why?
How come Nigerian Youths are not asking questions on how 98% of members of the political establishment (civil and appointed public servants especially elected officials) in Nigeria are wealthier than known and established business people in Nigeria? How come, it does not make logical sense!
Merry Christmas to all patriotic and incorruptible Nigerian Youths who are members of Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Group

Many Nigerian youths today fail to ask their parents how old they were when they got married, settled down had their children in their own built homes. Many of them absolutely achieved this feat within 22-45 years old. Unfortunately today, the evil establishment seen across the academia, political arena, business sector and even the church in Nigeria have deliberately and wickedly skewed the thoughts of majority of productive Nigerian youths to be slaves, beggars, job seekers for life and majority of the youths remain underemployed for the greater part of their productive years. This must be reversed now.

According Julius Nyerere the great African humanist, thinker and politician “there is no time to waste. We, the Nigerian Youths must unite now and vote out these unfortunate greedy political establishment and scavengers from power or we shall all perish”...
and we strongly believe that we shall not perish.

Many productive Nigerian Youths cannot get married, raise their own children or even help others simply because they can’t afford it. This is pathetic and Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Group is transforming this mentality in the Nigerian youths.

Recently, 17th December 2016, Dr Good Luck Jonathan, Nigeria’s former President posited, whilst receiving an honorary Doctoral Degree at Bingham University in Nasarawa State where he, “condemned the actions of some politicians who he accused of sending their own children abroad, only to recruit children of other people as thugs to fight and die during elections because of their unquenchable ambition, stressing that such acts were against human dignity”.

Instructively, this position of President Jonathan is consistent and agrees with a critical element enshrined in Article 6 of Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Philosophy and doctrines which stressed that all Nigerian youths Must work together and “REJECT ALL CRIMINAL RELATED JOBS such as; assassination, political gangsterism and thugery, Vote Manipulations, Ballot Snatching, armed robbery, religious riots and terrorism usually contracted to them by the older peoples of Nigerian hegemonic political and economic class”.  Nigeria Youths Must says never again.

During the occasion President Jonathan went ahead to assert that; “For the young men and women that are receiving their degrees and certificates at this convocation, we are handing over the baton of leadership to you. You must unite and embrace peace for us to have the Nigeria of our dreams.”

All the members of Stand Youths and Lead Nigerian Group scattered across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria completely applaud President Jonathan for this public statement and direct encouragement and agreement with another key caveat in our doctrines and ideologies which states that;

“Only the Nigerian Youths of up to age 45 years that have consistently demonstrated patriotism and possesses the critical number which will see them lead Nigeria, across all levels, to creating an upward social-political and economic mobility through an egalitarian society”, Articles 1, 2 and 10 of Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria ideologies.

Socrates was the teacher of Plato (whose philosophy of the universe is believed to have survived intact for more than 2,400 years) and Aristotle was his greatest student. Three of them all hailed from Greece. Along with the Socrates, his teacher and Aristotle, his student, Plato laid the very foundations upon which the Western philosophy and science was built.

It is unfortunate that when you talk about Nigeria today, the evil and greedy political establishment, who enjoy been slaves to their less qualified Western allies, have blighted the collective opportunity of our patriotic and productive youths to be reckoned with as great thinkers!!! Rather a vast majority of patriotic and productive Nigerian youths are referred to as the wretched of the earth and waste land of Nigerian by less hard working, qualified and competent contemporaries across Africa and the Western world. This must be turned around and that is what Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Group wants to achieve by encouraging all academic and patriotic Nigerian youths to vote themselves into political offices now.

Nigerian Youths Are Endangered Species, Absolutely.

THE POLITICAL ESTABLISMENT HAS MADE NIGERIAN YOUTHS EXTREMELY BITTER
Members of the current Nigerian political establishment have continually killed the Nigerian youths, jailed the Nigerian youths, Unemployed the Nigerian youths, destroy the schools and universities of the Nigerian youths, poisoned the minds of the Nigerian youths, segregate the Nigerian youths, sold out the Nigerian youths to their corrupt western counterparts, stolen the common wealth of the Nigerian youths and dumped same in the banks of their corrupted western friends ... the list goes on and on.

We should not allow anybody and even our old parents to tell us otherwise. Che Guevara once said; “I knew that the moment the great governing spirit strikes the blow to divide all humanity into just two opposing factions, I would be on the side of the common people”. Only the Nigerian Youths can be on the side of the common people.

Nigerian youths should avoid all people and institutions that are linked to the Nigerian establishment and ensure they do not vote for them ever again especially in the coming 2019 general elections.

Also, Nigerian youths should never again allow the Western imperial forces influence their choice of leadership either directly or through their different embassies and proxies. This is consistent with article 9 of STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA DOCTRINE.

WE can all see and hear how the United States of America, under Obama, has continually insisted that Russia influenced their elections, without any form of hard evidence... which is not true anyway. And blame Donald Trump for wining free and fair elections in America.

But the same Obama thinks Nigeria youths are so stupid that they have forgotten how Christian Amanpour of CNN relocated to Duara, Buhari’s village in Katsina state with the open approval of Barack Obama’s United States government to demonise and spew propaganda against President Good Luck Jonathan.

Nigerian youths have seen the outcome which fraudulently influenced the elections in favour of Buhari who they knew lacked the relevant intellectual and health capacity to lead our Nigeria, not their America. This will never happen again. Look at what Buhari’s approach has done to Nigeria and Nigerian psyche.

Way forward Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Group wants all Nigerian Youths to start getting ready and vote for a patriotic Nigerian youth age 22-45 across all position come 2019 general elections.

According to Dr Che Guevara; the primary goals of Stand Youths and Lead Nigerian group are our belief about the great lines that must follow from the political point of view, the first thing we want is to be “masters of our own destiny”, a “country free from foreign interference”, and a “country that seeks out its own system of development”

Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria Group is a forward looking intellectual movement that strongly believes that Nigerian Youths ages 22-45 years who are patriotic and incorruptible will lead Nigeria away from the grip of Western imperialists and current demonic Nigerian political hegemony and establishment.

Therefore as clearly stated in Articles 3 and 11 of STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUP on elections and tenure resonates with some elements of the recent call amplified by Senator Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President of Nigeria. Ekweremadu urged the Constitution and Electoral Reform Committee to suggest a single term of office for political office holders in Nigeria which he argued will mitigate against the concept of desperation and impunity demonstrated by Nigerian politicians.

Furthermore and underpinned by the fact that Nigerian youths have stayed aloof all these while, these corrupt and wicked establishment politicians are already having the temerity to queue up in an attempt to take over power again in 2019 and share the spoil of office at the detriment of Nigerian masses. Nigerian Youths must not allow this happen.

Stand Youths and Lead Nigerian Group has provided the ideological platform upon which all youths should begin to assemble behind the best, nationalistic, extremely patriotic and intellectually outstanding youths (ages 22-45) to be nominated and voted as well as appointed into political offices come 2019. NO GOING BACK ON THE, PLEASE.

This is clearly based on the conclusion that the incumbent President Buhari has not only lost the moral grounds and patriotic underpinning to lead Nigeria, amongst other reasons his vaguely touted zero tolerance against corruption has been severally ridicules for instance;

1. On the 9th of December 2016 Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division granted an order of mandamus seeking the arrest and immediate sack of Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and his Science and Technology counterpart, Ogbonnaya Onu, over recent allegations levelled against them by two justices of the Supreme Court—that they attempted bribing the two Supreme Court Justices. Till date Buhari did nothing. http://guardian.ng/…/court-grants-order-to-arrest-sack-ama…/

2. Lie Muhammed, wrote three times January and March 2016, wanted to borrow N13million Naira loan from a government parastatal for a supposed travel to a conference in China. Buhari has done nothing because he lacks the understanding of simple ethical procedures should work.

3. Buhari’s associates, including Mr Buhari himself, DG SSS, Mamman Duara, CG Ali Customs, Atiku and their political hangers on, got their children and wards jobs in the Central Bank of Nigeria, Bahari has not addressed this

4. The current Chief of Army Staff, COAS, a public civil servant in the Nigerian military was recently reported to own a multimillion dollar houses in Dubai and he was quickly cleared by SSS Duara, yet they asked Supreme Court Justices to explain statutorily spending the allocation of $1million dollars in ten months. Nobody ever questioned Buratai, why, if not that they are all corrupt and unpatriotic to Nigeria.
5. The current buzz is that the Senate has uncovered with hard evidence that Secretary to the Federal Government, Engineer David Babache, is directly involved in contract inflation, using the IDP money meant for relief materials to pay his own company for contract never executed. He alleged that he used the money to cut the lawn and how is this different from Dasuki?

Patriotic Nigerian Youths should judge! For the firts time, past Nigerian Presidents and Heads of states were not paid their entitlements for about ten months and this could lead to a potential security problem....the list goes on

NIGERIAN YOUTHS SHOULD RUN FROM BUHARI AND ALL HIS COHORTS AND SHOULD NEVER EVER VOTE FOR HIM/THEM AND ANY OTHER MEMBER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. THE ONLY THING BUHARI AND HIS AGENTS DO IS LOOK AT THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS IN THE EYES AND SAY, “CORRUPTION IS FIGHTING BACK”

IN 2019 PLEASE NOMINATE A PATRIOTIC AND INCORRUPTIBLE YOUTH AGES 22-45 WITH SOUND INTELLECTUAL BAGGAGE AND VOTE SUCH YOUTHS INTO ALL OFFICES ACROSS NIGERIA. We have leftist views because we support social equality and egalitarianism

Nigerian Youths Should Free Nigeria.

A REVOLUTION IS NOT A BED OF ROSES”---CASTRO

NIGERIA YOUTHS OF 99.1 MILLION ELIGIBLE VOTERS BY 2019 SHOULD IMMEDIATELY FREE NIGERIA.

NIGERIAN YOUTHS SHOULD REJECT AND NOT LISTEN TO THE POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC ESTABLISHMENT IN NIGERIA ANYMORE. RATHER YOUTHS SHOULD IMMEDIATELLY ORGANISE THEMSELVES INTO PATRIOTIC GROUPS AND VOTE FOR INCORRUPTIBLE NIGERIAN YOUTHS WITH NATIONAL CONSCIENOUSNESS OF AGES 22-45 INTO OFFICES BY 2019.

“WHY SHOULD MAJORITY OF NIGERIANS HAVE TO GO BAREFOOTED SO THAT OTHERS LIKE, TINUBU, ATIKU, FASHOLA, AMAECHI, OSHOMHOLE, DANJUMA, SARAKI, IBB, SANUSI, OBASANJO, BUHARI INCLUDING RELIGOUS LEADERS AND THEIR COHORTS, EAT THE BEST FOOD AND DRIVE LUXURY CARS AT THE EXPENSE OF OUR COMMON WEALTH”?

“WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE IN NIGERIA ONLY ABLE TO LIVE FOR 35 YEARS OR EVEN LOWER IN ORDER THAT VERY FEW HEGEMONIC NIGERIANS, SOME OF WHICH ARE MENSIONED ABOVE, CAN LIVE FOR 70 YEARS OR OVER? WHY DO SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO BE MISERABLY POOR IN ORDER THAT OTHERS, IN NIGERIA, CAN BE EXTRAVAGANTLY RICH? STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUP SPEAKS FOR ALL NIGERIAN YOUTHS, DESPITE GOOD TRAINING AND EDUCATION, DO NOT HAVE A PIECE OF BREAD OR ACCESS TO LIFE OPPRTUNITIES”.... PARAPHRASED FROM FIDEL CASTRO’S QUOTES.

STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUP PROUDLY ASSERTS THAT;
“NO NIGERIAN, INCLUDING MEMBERS OF THE ESTABLISMENT, SHOULD BE GRANTED ACCESS TO POLITICAL LEADERSHIP POSITION WITHIN THE NIGERIAN COMMUNITIES, WHO HAS NOT SUFFICIENTLY DEMONSTRATED AND BEEN CERTIFIED THROUGH EDUCATION OR NIGERIAN EXPERIENCE AS NIGERIAN CENTERED BOTH IN CONSCIOUSNESS, IDENTITY, PATRIOTISM, CHARACTER AND ORIENTATION”.

FURTHERMORE, STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUP IS ASKING THE PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN YOUTHS TO KEEP TIME WITH FAITH AND READ OUR IDEOLOGIES AND DOCTRINES TO GET THEMSELVES READY FOR LEADERSHIP POSITION UNDERPINNED BY IDEOLOGICAL AND PRAGMATIC BELEIVE.
THIS HAS BECOME RELEVANT BECAUSE THE CURRENT LEADERS IN NIGERIA ARE ALL COMELY SELL OUT TO THE YOUTHS AND ARE WORKING TO PERPETUATE THEMSELVES IN OFFICES, AND STEAL ALL AS WELL AS UNDERDEVELOP NIGERIA FOR AS LONG AS THEY CAN. THESE PEOPLE HAVE MORTGAGED NIGERIA PSYCHE TO THE WESTERN WORLD. WE SHOULD KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT WESTERNERS AND WE SHALL NEVER BE. BECAUSE ATTEMPT TO ASSUME WHAT WE ARE NOT HAS HELPED THE IMPERIALISTS FURTHER THEIR IMPOVERISHMENT OF NIGERIA AND NIGERIA PEOPLE.

WE IN STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUP HOLDS THAT THIS SHALL NOT STAND ANY LONGER. CAN WE ASK OURSELVES ONE QUESTION!!! IS THERE ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHERE THEY TRY TO FOLLOW OR ALLOW THE WESTERNERS INFLUENCE THEM THAT HAS NOT SUFFERED DE-DEVELOPMENT AND DECAY OF NATIONAL PSYCHE?, ABSOLUTELY NONE.

AND LATELY, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ESPECIALLY UNDER OBAMA, HAS ASSUMED THE POSITION OF GRAND MASTER OF IMPERIALISM THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, WHERE THEY GO AND DESTROY PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT LIKE; LIBYA, SYRIA, YEMEN, BURUNDI, JAPAN, BUILT OVER 400 MILITARY BASES ROUND ABOUT CHINA AND RECENTLY THEY HAVE STARTED BUILDING ONE OF THE LARGEST DRONE BASES IN NIGER, THAT SHARES NOTHERN BORDERS WITH NIGERIA, WHY?
NIGERIA YOUTHS SHOULD QUICKLY REMOVE ALL THESE MEMBERS OF THE CURRENT POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC CLASSES FROM THE CORRIDORS OF POWER IN NIGERIA, FUNDAMENTALLY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PATRIOTIC NIGERIANS AND THEY HAVE COMPLETELY SOLD OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND HISTORICAL IDEOLOGY TO THESE CORRUPTED WESTERN REPRESENTATIVES.

STAND YOUTHS AND LEAD NIGERIA GROUD HAS SET THE PLATFORM TO USE TO MOBILIZE OUR PATRIOTIC YOUTHS, MEN AND WOMEN OF AGES 22-45 YEARS WHO WILL LAY DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR NIGERIA FIRST.

Tribute to My Hero: Fidel Castro of Cuba.

Tribute to My Hero: Fidel Castro of Cuba.

"I will be 90 years soon. Soon I will be like others. The time will come for all of us" Fidel Castro, 19th April, 2016.

Fidel Castro gave his valedictory speech to Cubans on Tuesday 19th April 2016, and on Saturday 26th November 2016, his passing was announced. Fidel was larger than life. He was a prominent global figure till death and will remain so till a long time.

The Cuban Revolution was a great inspiration to many freedom fighters around the world. Fidel Castro showed the world that, no force on earth can defeat a determined people. His influences were felt across the world. He sent Cuban forces to fight in Angola, in order to stop then forces of White apartheid rule there. He trained many freedom fighters. He was instrumental in the African National Congress (ANC) struggle against white domination.

He was a revolutionary per excellence. He transformed the Cuban society, brought free education and health care. As a result, Cuba has one of the highest levels of literary rates and life expectancy in the world.

Fidel Castro opposed America, as such Cuban was under the worst economic blockade for over 50 years. But at the peak of this blockade, Cuba exported over 30,000 doctors as medical aid to other developing countries. They exported over 20,000 teachers to other Latin American countries for various teaching assistance.

Watching Fidel Castro speak has always been my delight. I have lost count of, number of his speeches that I have watched. Simply can't get tired of watching him. His aura and charisma are infectious.

He will continue to live in the hearts and minds of people. His legacies speaks for him. According to John F. Kennedy (former American President), "A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on". Fidel Castro's ideas will live forever. To that extent, he is not dead.

Brexit,Trump and Nnamdi Kanu.

Brexit, Trump and Nnamdi Kanu.

First, yours truly watched leaders of Brexiters (Nigel Farage, Michael Gove, and Boris Johnson) campaign before the referendum, and how they won. Secondly, I watched Trump campaign for his Presidential election in America, and how he won. Thirdly, I have watched Nnamdi Kanu campaign for independence of Biafra. A lot of similarities and outcomes can be established.

All these men mentioned above, have same or similar style. They have far right ideologies. Far right ideologies are now on the increase around the world. They have successfully appealed to the emotions, sentiments and fears of their people. Reason and sound logic might be lacking in their messages. Most elites and professonals of their different societies disagrees with them, and all their vocal approaches etc. But greater majority of the masses, of their different societies support them. Their far right messages sink well with their followers.

They say what their followers wants to hear. Their campaign messages are full of ambiguities and not well thought off. They preach messages of hatred, division, racism, tribalism, seclusion, anti establishments etc. These are why most of the elites in their societies disagree with them. Like in any society, the masses, largely uneducated or less educated are far more than the elites. That's why these men will elections or referendum.

Make no mistake, if you conduct a referendum today in South East part of Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu and his pro Biafran agitators would win. Nnamdi Kanu can win Abia State Governorship or Senatoria or any elections he chooses to contest. The pro Biafran agitators that marched the streets of Aba, Onitcha, Owerri, Enugu etc for his release can win him any election at Abia State.

This takes me to an article written by yours truly on 6th November 2015, titled; New Biafran Agitation, What If? (published on www.cvakutamedia.com),  on the article, I argued that pro Biafran agitators should form a political party or have a political party by proxy. Not long ago, I watched a video on youtube, where pro Biafran agitators, were discussing the pros and cons of forming a political party. If they do and channel their energy towards seeking political power to pursue their mission, then chances are high that they would likely win.

Just Thinking: Selling National Assets or Borrowing.

Just Thinking: Selling National Assets or Borrowing.

The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, "in their wisdom" opposed the proposed sale of some national assets, to bail us out of the economic recession. Ironically, the same Senate has not curtailed it's expenses. Charity begins at home. The present Senate is a drain pipe to the economy. One would have expected the Senate to drastically cut their expenditures.

Moving on. The next available option left to the federal government might be to borrow money from IMF/World Bank, Paris Club, London Club etc. Borrowing from these international institutions comes with a greater cost. I recall a seminar organised by World Bank in London some years back, where I asked them to stop lending money to Nigeria. Not sure they would consider my suggestion, but at least a suggestion was made.

Between borrowing with high compound interest rates and selling some of our national assets, which is preferable? The author would prefer the sell of some national assets, provided it's done transparently and due process followed. Taking loans would be like mortgaging the future of our children and grand children.

The essence of having assets is to sell it, when you need cash, in order to enable you survive or to use it as collateral to borrow money. Borrowing from institutions mentioned above is simply not advisable.

Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria: Philosophy, Ideology and Principles.

PHILOSOPHY, IDEOLOGY AND PRINCIPLES GUIDING OUR BELIEF AND BEHAVOURS
Our Philosophical Ideology.

We, the Nigerian youths and young people of men and women in nature, permanently hold that, we are naturally empowered, gifted with requisite capacity and inherent responsibility to presently and futuristically transform Nigeria into a great socio-political and economically egalitarian society and nation. We rely on Section 38(1) of 1999 Nigeria constitution (as amended) to express our freedom of thoughts and conscience and freedom to share same with all persons.

Our philosophical ideology is driven by the following belief and convictions;
1. That the youths and young people of Nigeria has taken the decision to hence forth pragmatically and strategically take Nigeria through a phased political, economical, security and diplomatic paradigm shift to achieve a socio-economic egalitarian nation.

2. That the Nigerian youths have decided to take a deliberate move that will create an upward socio-political and economic mobility for youths and young people from 20-45 year old age bracket.

3. That corruption can only be permanently defeated in Nigeria when the processes of electing and appointing leaders is transparent and corruption free thus; the youth will ensure that any individual who will run for public elective office and any persons who may be so appointed into any public office MUST compulsorily make a public disclosure and publication of their private incomes and earnings accounts, investments interests (personal and family) before such appointments is taken up and this must be repeated every year until they vacate office.

4. That the Nigerian youth will henceforth ONLY Vote for persons or individuals who are between ages 22 to 45 years old and whose published accounts DON’T exceed 5 million naira only.

5. That the youths and young people of Nigeria will henceforth interface to take deliberate actions that will halt and eliminate the obvious systemic and institutional destruction of Nigerian youths and young peoples’ psyche by old hegemonic political, religious, economic and social class in Nigeria.

6. The PRICE OF OUR CONSCIENCE IS TRUTH thus Nigerian youths will henceforth work together to support ourselves and REJECT ALL CRIMINAL RELATED JOBS such as; assassination, political gangsterism and thugery, armed robbery, religious riots and terrorism usually contracted to them by the older peoples of Nigerian hegemonic political and economic class.

7. That we shall do everything intelligently and practically possible to create the framework that will start a compulsory employment scheme for all youths and young people from 20-45 years old bracket through the creation of National Youth and Young People Job Bank across the 774 local government areas for skilled graduates, semi-skilled and artisans and this scheme must run for 15 years. Nobody will be required to bring references from any rich or connected individual. We rely on section 14 of 1999 constitution (as amended) stating that the security and welfare of the Nigerian people shall be the primary purpose of government.

8. That Nigerian youths and young people henceforth resolve to discourage religious leaders from Nigerian politics and not allow their religious sway determine or influence the political path of the Nigerian youths anymore. We rely on section 10 of 1999 constitution (as amended) which states clearly that “Federal or State government shall NOT adopt any religion as “State religion”. Nigeria Youths shall not allow religion to determine how and who they vote for in Nigeria anymore. The interest of Nigeria and her people is first.

9. That youths and young people should discourage and discountenance the views of foreign countries either through their ambassadors’ representatives or indirectly meddling into the internal security architecture, socio-political and community politics and affairs of Nigeria.

10. That the Nigerian youth and young people come together to articulate and outline a 50 years strategic economic, security, diplomatic and social infrastructural development framework for Nigeria that all public and private workers MUST sign up to through a regional and national referendum.

11. That henceforth the youth expects and WILL not support any persons to contest any elective office, if they may have statutorily occupied such or any other public position of such nature for  one or two terms EXCEPT they have spent the same number of years earlier spent in office out of office. This will free the social mobility ladder and increase employment for the Nigerian youths.

12. That youths and young people will ensure that public and civil servants will not acquire any properties locally and internationally, (houses, cars, business interest or sit on any board) or receive patronages whilst in public office, EXCEPT THEY ARE FREE OF CORRUPTION.

13. That the Nigerian youths and young people SHALL vehemently resist and stop ALL PUBLIC AND CIVIL SERVANTS from undertaking or receiving any form of MEDICAL CARE or TRAIN THEIR CHILDREN AND WARDS OVERSEAS whilst in office except it is life threatening (which should not be more than two trips) and or their children or wards win a competitive scholarship sponsorship.

.....Youths Awake and Unite. The future of any nation is in the hands of the youths. The future of the world is in the hands of the youths and young people. Unite the strength of Nigeria. You have got to treat them right; they are the candles of hope! Do not treat them wrong; you might be setting a time bomb? If you are sitting on the youths and young people today; you might be sitting on dynamite. Give youths and young people equal rights; do not kill them and destroy their future!!!  Victor Essiet (The Mandates). THE PRICE OF CONSCIENCE!

UNITED WE SHALL ACCOMPLISH, DIVIDED WE ARE finished.... This is the REALITY!
I am happy and agree to abide by these philosophy and ideologies of Stand Youths and Lead Nigeria. I shall work tirelessly and vigorously to propagate and spread these principles to all Nigerian youths and young people.

I,              sincerely make this pledge.

MEND Replies Ex President Jonathan.

The movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has issued a press release in response to former President Goodluck Jonathan's statement on MEND in which he denied allegations that he was one of the sponsors of the Niger Delta Avengers. In it, the group claims that Mr. Jonathan's failure to address the Niger Delta's challenges led to the formation of MEND.

Read the MEND press release below:

1. The attention of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has been drawn to a statement issued by one Ikechukwu Eze, on behalf of former President Goodluck Jonathan purporting to dissociate the former President from the allegation leveled against him by the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) that, the former President was the Grand Patron of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA).

2. With all due respect, the entire statement was deeply provocative and embarrassingly misconceived as it woefully failed to address the core the issue of whether or not; the former President was indeed, the Grand Patron of the NDA.

3. Rather, the statement employed diversionary Tactics which dwelt extensively on sour grapes! Any follower of events in Nigeria and the Niger Delta who was privileged to read the statement released by Mr. Jonathan would immediately observe that the former President had a score to settle with the Okah brothers as well as with MEND who have since May 30, 2014, stopped attacks on Nigeria's oil and gas assets; and are currently engaged in dialogue with the Federal Government to find sustainable ways and means of ending the festering Niger Delta crises which were exacerbated by the former President's ineptitude, incompetence and corruption during the 6years he governed the country.

4. Indeed, the problem in the Niger Delta today has nothing to do with the current Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Far from it! The problem is simply, the failure
of Mr. Jonathan to address the root issues confronting the region when he was at the helm. Even though he was from the impoverished region; and had, by his own admission in numerous electioneering campaigns, experienced the utter poverty and abject neglect of the region foisted by successive Nigerian Governments and the International Oil Companies since the discovery of oil in 1958 at Oloibiri (a few meters away from his native Otuoke) in Bayelsa state, Mr. Jonathan disappointingly frittered away the opportunity to rescue his people when the Nigerian Presidency fortuitously landed on his laps, virtually on a platter of gold. For 6 whole years, Mr. Jonathan was busy drinking, making merry and generally chasing shadows at the State
House. Such a fellow deserves to be ostracized from the assembly of reasonable men; because the Nigerian Presidency might never comeback to the Niger Delta region as cheap as it came to Mr. Jonathan; perhaps, in the next 100 years.

5. Lest we forget, MEND was at the forefront of the armed struggle back in 2006/2007 which forced the then Government of President Olusegun Obasanjo to consider the option of drafting an Ijaw into the mainstream of Nigerian politics. That was how the perpetually timid and naïve Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan became Vice President and later, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. When he assumed the reins as President, he did the unthinkable; he tracked down perceived MENDleaders and promptly got them imprisoned on a trumped-up charge of attempt to assassinate him. Up until today, Mr. Jonathan is still suffering from an assassination paranoia complex (APC).

6. Secondly, a substantial portion of Mr. Jonathan’s statement, unfortunately, dwelt on judicial matters which are pending in various courts in Nigeria and South Africa. For instance ,Mr. Henry Okah's Appeal in South Africa's Supreme Court is due for Hearing this August; while his brother, Charles' ongoing trial in Nigeria is pending before Hon. Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

7. The former President's statement was therefore, most highly contemptuous, injurious to the credit of MEND and the Okah brothers; and, above all, prejudicial to the eventual outcome of the ongoing trials in South African and Nigerian courts, respectively. Consequently, both brothers shall, on account of the former President's prejudicial statement, institute legal action against him in South Africa and Nigeria within 60 days, commencing from today, August 9, 2016. Accordingly, they have briefed their respective Solicitors to formally engage the former President in litigation.

8. Back to the core issue. MEND cannot hold brief for the RNDA who pointedly accused Mr. Jonathan of complicity in fueling the ongoing Niger Delta crisis ;and patronizing the NDA, apparently for political reasons. We are however ,quick to point out the fact that, the RNDA has merely vindicated MEND's belief and conviction that, the former President and his cronies who lost the 2015 Presidential election were using the illegal and treasonable NDA platform to destabilize President Buhari's Government.

9. Finally, MEND is committed to working with the current Administration to bring peace, stability and development to the Niger Delta region. The process has since commenced with the constitution of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT-MEND AARON TEAM 2, Dialogue, Peace and Development Initiative. Between August 22, 2016 and October 7, 2016 the AaronTeam shall embark on a tour of the Niger Delta region. The proposed tour is code-named "OPERATION MOSES." The key focus of the tour is to persuade militants to ceasefire and support President Muhammadu Buhari in his determined and sincere effort to
develop the region. The tour shall also help to boost Nigeria's oil production capacity as well as improve host community relations
with oil and gas companies in the country.

Late Bola Ige and Dokubo’s Unresolved Murder Cases to Be Reopened.

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, directed the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to reopen investigation into the unresolved murder of former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, and ex-Deputy National Chairman, South-South, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Aminosari Dokubo, and fish out the perpetrators.

The killing of the two personalities caused national outrage, with Nigerians calling on the government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to fish out the killers who have still not been found. Late Bola Ige Recall that Chief Bola Ige was shot dead  in his bedroom in Bodija, Ibadan, home at about  9pm on December 23, 2001, after he arrived Ibadan from Lagos at about 8.30pm. His security details were said to have sought permission from the former Attorney General to go and eat before the incident occurred.

The gunmen, who were said to have been waiting in the vicinity, then stormed the house and tied up family members. One of the gunmen reportedly pointed a gun at a family member and asked him to lead them upstairs to Chief Bola Ige’s room. They allegedly moved the wife and his son to an adjourning room, locked them up before shooting their target in the chest. Vanguard gathered from sources that towards unearthing the perpetrators of these unresolved murders, the Acting Inspector General of Police has instituted a high powered investigation team, headed by an Assistant Inspector General of Police, to crack the case.

Following the death of the late Bola Ige, several unsubstantiated allegations were made against several politicians and interest groups, with some even saying the ‘Cicero’, as he was fondly called, was killed to halt the rise in his political profile, while others said it had to do with his impending probe of the corruption in the power sector of the nation’s economy.

Dokubo’s assassination On the part of Chief Aminosari Dokubo, the late PDP Deputy National Chairman was said to be returning to his base from Abuja after a meeting when he was waylaid by suspected assassins on entering Delta State. He was killed near Asaba on October 22, 2004. Dokubo’s assassination at the time was alleged to have been caused by certain disagreements with the powers that be in his political party, prior to the general elections.

A source told Vanguard that the fact that the killers and their sponsors were still prowling the streets without arrest and prosecution for crimes against humanity, was a dangerous trend which, if not addressed, might lead to killing of more political leaders either now or in the future. It’s a new day— Bola Ige’s son Reacting to the development, Architect  Muyiwa Ige, son of late Chief Bola Ige, said last night that it would be glorious, if the family could get  justice 16 years after. Muyiwa, who could not hide his happiness, said President Buhari did not disappoint him, saying the matter was now in the right direction. He said:  “I knew right from the advent of the administration of President Buhari that the matter would be resurrected. The President is in the right direction. To God be the glory. It’s a new day; we are happy, we will get justice after 16 years. “We are happy that all those who murdered our father, including the star witness, will be brought to justice. It’s good news.” Source: vanguardngr.com

Opinion:

Hope the time lag, would not affect evidences necessary to crack these cases. Many more unsolved murder cases need to re-opened.

90 Percent of Containers Leave Nigeria Empty.

The Nigerian Ports Authority has said about 90 per cent of containers bringing in goods from other countries leave the shores of Nigeria empty.

It also said the level of operational activities at the nation’s ports in the first quarter of 2016 dropped drastically when compared with the same period of 2015.

A statement by the authority obtained on Friday quoted the Managing Director, NPA, Habib Abdullahi, as saying the findings were contained in a report of port activities.

The report also showed the seaport as a catalyst for economic development through export commodities.

He said an analysis of the vehicle importation figure in the first quarter of 2016 showed a decline of 10 per cent with a total of 27,133 units as against 30,139 units handled in the corresponding period of 2015.

Abdullahi said, “This position has been communicated to the Nigerian Export Promotion Council by the NPA management. We highlighted the need to sensitise Nigerians to the importance of filling the vacuum through export commodities, especially solid minerals and agro-allied products.

“An action plan has been initiated by the authority by setting up interactive and follow-up sessions with the NEPC headquarters in Abuja and the Abuja Commodities & Exchange Commission,”

He added that the same arrangement had been made with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development and the Nigerian Chambers of Commerce (Lagos and Abuja branches).

“Cargo throughput in the first quarter stood at 43.3 million tonnes, showing a decrease of 12.6 per cent from 49.6 million tonnes recorded in the same period of 2015.

“There was also a decrease in the import of general cargo at 1.8 million tonnes, a decrease of 48.1 per cent from 3.6 million tonnes recorded in the corresponding period of 2015,” Abdullahi said.

Cargo throughput is the total volume of cargo (inward and outward) handled in all the port locations during a set period.

A further analysis of the cargo throughput revealed that  dry bulk cargo stood at 2.1 million tonnes as against 2.3 million tonnes achieved in 2015, indicating a drop of 5.6 per cent.

The Liquefied Natural Gas shipment recorded 5.07 million tonnes compared to 5.4 million tonnes in first quarter of 2015, showing a drop of seven per cent.

Abdullahi added, “Refined petroleum products stood at 5.03 million tonnes, showing a drop of 4.6 per cent from 2015 figure of 5.2 tonnes.

“Laden container throughput was 194,304 TEUs, a decline of 12.6 per cent from 222,363 TEUs recorded in 2015.”

He added that empty container throughput was 123,427 TEUs, showing a drop of 19.5 per cent from 2015 figure of 153,366TEUs, while crude oil shipment was 25.7 million tonnes, indicating a decrease of 12.5 per cent from 29.4 million recorded in 2015.

Abdullahi urged agencies and players in both public and private sectors to join the Federal Government in its efforts to diversify the Nigerian economy and cushion the effects of the crash in global crude oil prices. Source: Punch

Opinion: A wake up call to Nigerian exporters to fill up the containers leaving our shores.

It is expected that CBN will take over the bank till a buyer is found for the banks assets and liabilities. The bank is amongst the many Nigerian banks facing financial crisis. More details later.

Opinion: Just hope there would be enough money to pay innocent depositors, whom would have innocently banked with Skye bank. Though the erase of bank crises are over in Nigeria.

Restructuring Nigeria: House of Reps Adopts Confab Report.

THE House of Representatives Special Ad hoc committee on the review of the 1999 constitution Thursday said it has adopted the report of 2014 National Conference as part of its working document. The decision to adopt the report of the National conference according to Wole Oladimeji, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker of the House, Yussuff Lasun in a statement in Abuja was taken at a working session/retreat of the committee recently held at TranscorpHilton hotel, Abuja.

Recall that former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration had convoked a national constitutional conference that lasted about four months in 2014, but the administration did not submit the report of the conference to National Assembly. But the statement by Oladimeji stated that the meeting where the House decided to adopt the report of the conference for the ongoing constitutional review was presided over by Lasun who is also the chairman of the committee. He said, “Copies of the report have been circulated to members of the committee‎ to go through and come up with recommendations to the committee while the consultants to the committee have given the report to advise the committee on how to go about it.

“Some of the salient proposals in the report would be turned into draft bills‎ which would be presented to the house for adoption and passage. “The committee would commence work on the review immediately the House resumes from its Sallah break.” Source: Vanguard News.

Opinion: National Assembly has more to play in order to restructure Nigeria. Rather than wait endlessly for the President to initiate this action. They have taken the right steps in the right direction. Hoping they will have the courage to pursue it to its final conclusion. Meanwhile, it's important that citizens, groups, State Governments should support this process.

Starvation: Eat Grasshoppers and Mice. Malawi President To Malawians.

Malawian President Peter Mutharika told millions of Malawians that are starving to stop depending on maize and eat grasshoppers and mice in-order to cope with the current food shortage in the country reports local media.

Acute maize shortage has ravaged the south-eastern African country due to poor harvests because of the long dry spells and floods.

President Mutharika said his government was under a lot of pressure to find solutions that would save Malawians from hunger.

“But why should Malawian die with hunger when we have different of things to eat? Muzidya mbewa, zitete, komanso chinangwa!” said the President during his speech as a political rally in the Southern Region of Malawi, Mulanje

Half of Malawi’s population will be affected by hunger because of the drought and flood that has ravished the country. The President said that no one will die of hunger, reassuring Malawians that the government has purchased excess maize stock of 1.2 million metric tonnes.

Mutharika also asked the civil servants to desist in demanding for salary increment and look for means to source for the money.

“And you the civil servant you should stop demanding my government to raise your salary because it is doing its best to give you a conducive environment , what you should do is to work hard on your own,” said Mutharika. Source: cctv-africa.com

Opinion: What is wrong with Africa, why can't we even feed ourselves? Can't Malawi do irrigation etc. Why tell your people to eat mice? It can't get worst than this.

Army Chief, General Buratai Has Questions To Answer.

General Yusuf Buratai bought a second choice property in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, days after his appointment as Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), an investigation by SaharaReporters has revealed.

As this news website exclusively revealed last week, General Buratai and his two wives in 2013 paid the sum of 1,498,534.00 AED (N120 million/$419,000) for the first property, Project TFG Marina Hotel Unit 2711. Sale documents indicated that the first property was handed over to the Buratais on January 13, 2013.

On July 13, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed General Buratai as Chief of Army Staff. Our investigations show that, within 11 days of his appointment, the general was making arrangements for the purchase of a second property from the same company in Dubai. Our investigators obtained evidence that, between July 24 and August 17, 2015, General Buratai paid a total sum of N42.2 million into TFG Sigma 111’s account in Nigeria (Skye Bank 1770380452).

Evidence exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters reveal that General Buratai made N10 million payments on July 24 and August 7 respectively. Three days later, another N10 million was paid into the real estate firm’s account, The phone number on the Skye Bank teller is 08033349740 Saharareporters investigations shows that it belonged to a Nigerian Army Major Emmanuel G. Adegbola of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps (N/10808).  On August 17, 2015, the Chief of Army Staff paid the sum of N3,270,000 into the account.Gen. TY Buratai's properties in Nigeria. Gen. TY Buratai's Farm near Abuja

Our sources within the Army disclosed that the lodgments came from Army funds stolen and diverted by General Buratai. They explained that the diverted monies were taken from funds budgeted for the feeding, medical care and payment of allowances of soldiers fighting the war against Islamist insurgents in Nigeria’s northeast zone.

Our sources also stated that the funds for General Buratai’s first Dubai property came from a contract awarded for the supply of vehicles and motorcycles to the Army. They asserted that General Buratai had cornered the contract in his days as Director of Procurement at the Army Headquarters, using a front identified as Usman Gamawa. “The contract was awarded for the purchase of new vehicles, but Alhaji Gamawa's Baggash Investment Limited bought second-hand vehicles and motorcycles from Niger Republic for the use of soldiers,” said one source. He said the purchase of substandard vehicles exposed troops engaged counter-insurgency operations to heightened danger, made them vulnerable to attacks by Boko Haram insurgents, and reduced their effectiveness. Army sources disclosed that, on arrival in Nigeria, the vehicles and motorcycles supplied by General Buratai’s front, Mr. Gamawa, were taken for refurbishment at Mogadishu Cantonment under the supervision of one Sergeant Dandan Garba. The deposits made at Skye Bank for Dubai property number 2

Angered by the deplorable state of the vehicles and motorcycles, a group known as Concerned Soldiers and Officers From The Northeast petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari to demand an investigation into the financial malfeasance perpetrated by General Buratai. A member of the group told SaharaReporters that they want President Buhari to ask General Buratai to explain where he got money for his various assets, including the real estate in Dubai. He said the COAS also owns a huge industrial-scale farm, Tukur and Tukur Farm Limited, on the Abuja-Keffi Expressway. “The farm is currently a huge construction site, featuring a tarred road, a zoo, a guesthouse, chalets, a restaurant, a cinema hall, a mini-stadium and other leisure facilities,” said the source, adding that some of the equipment on the site belongs to the Army.

In a statement issued last Friday, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, acting Director of Army Public Relations, claimed that General Buratai and his family own two properties in Dubai that were paid for in installments through personal savings. But Colonel Usman’s claim that the two homes were bought three years ago is at odds with purchase documents seen by SaharaReporters. Colonel Usman also stated that General Buratai was a victim of a campaign of calumny.

Purchase documents for General Buratai’s first property in Dubai showed that the COAS and his wives paid for Project Marina Hotel Unit 2711 in one lump, instead of by installments. Their single payment earned them what the sellers, Sigma 111, called  “incentives, promotions and early payment bonus.” Owing to the lump payment, the sellers shaved off AED 43,466 from the AED 1,542,000 that was the asking price for the property. General Buratai paid AED 1,498,534 for the first property.

The cash lodgments into Sigma 111 Skye Bank account also suggested that General Buratai did not buy the second property three years ago, as Colonel Usman claimed. The dates of the payment showed that money started gushing into the account eleven days after Buratai’s appointment as Chief of Army Staff.

Colonel Usman also claimed that General Buratai had always declared the two properties as parts of his assets. But such claims are hardly cast-iron proof of fidelity to the laws on declaration of assets. Public officials regularly claim to own assets they have not bought. Similarly, Colonel Usman claimed that General Buratai was never a Director of Procurement at the Defense Headquarters. Yet, evidence from the website of Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) proves the military spokesman wrong. According to the site bpp.gov.ng, General Buratai attended the 2014 Defense Headquarters Procurement Seminar as the Director of Procurement.

The website quoted General Buratai as stating at the seminar, “It is our hope that at the end of the seminar, we would all be better informed about public procurement procedures and work towards the emergence of an enhanced Defense Procurement Procedure for the Armed Forces of Nigeria.”

Several retired and serving Army officers told SaharaReporters that General Buratai seemed to be getting away with his financial misdeeds because of a growing culture of corruption in the armed forces. They point to the case of Major-General A.B. Abubakar, the current Chief of Administration at the Army Headquarters. According to two sources, General Abubakar was never sanctioned after he reportedly misappropriated huge sums meant for the equipping and training of re-absorbed soldiers based in Kontagora, Niger State. Another military source cited Brigadier-General Momoh of the Department of Logistics, Army Headquarters who reportedly diverted millions of the Army’s funds to his private account. “His only punishment was redeployment to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army,” said the source.

Yet another military source drew attention to the case of one Colonel Jega, who reportedly placed 101st at the Defense College exams. Yet, the colonel got preferential treatment and was sent to the Defense College in Bangladesh, ahead of those who performed much better than he. “Some of those who did better in the exams were even retired,” our source said. Source: Sahara Reporters.

Opinion: General Buratai has questions to answer and should be placed under EFCC radar immediately. At least, let him clear his name.

Court Sacks Abia State Governor.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, to vacate office immediately for submitting false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, for the party’s governorship primary in December 2014.

Justice Okon Abang in a judgment on Monday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately issue a certificate of return to the plaintiff, Uche Ogah, who polled the second highest number of votes in the primary. Source: Punch.

Brexit: Commonwealth Exit is Next.

The writer wishes to once more, congratulate the “wise” people of Britain for voting to leave their immediate neighbours (European Union). This decision has immediately triggered the agitation for the second Scottish independence referendum. The Scottish people want to remain with the European Union. Wondering what other arguments, the English people will tell the Scottish to vote against their independence.

Northern Island might likely follow suit. Wales might wish remain with England. Since we are in the session of exiting unions, it would be a wonderful idea for the “wise” people of Britain to have a referendum to quit the Commonwealth Nations, yes you heard me right, time to quit Commonwealth, because they are no longer fit for purpose. To your tents, all nations.

The “money remitted to Commonwealth Nations” can be used to fix their ailing National Health Service (NHS), and also be used to stop migration from other third world countries. But if Britain is not ready to have a referendum to quit the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth Nations should have their referendum to quit the union or what do you think? The migrant British people elsewhere around the third world countries should be prepared to return home. All British overseas company in Commonwealth Nations/third world countries should be getting ready to relocate to home.

Lastly, don’t you think a petition as per above, to the British House of Commons would suffice? Time to start this debate, who knows, it might lead to having a peaceful world, we all are searching for.
